As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) performed condition inspection of all six ventilation buildings at the Lincoln Tunnel. Tasks performed included visual inspection of façade and hammer tapping to identify loose bricks and hollow concrete areas, visual inspection of masonry walls within the building and hammer tapping to identify areas of loose, hollow and spalling concrete, and visual inspection of exposed steel girders. SIE prepared reports outlining the inspection findings and developed repair recommendations to restore to a state of good repair.
