SI Engineering Awarded MTA PMC for Communications Based Train Control Contract

SI Engineering was recently awarded an MTA contract for Program and Project Management Consultant Services for Communications Based Train Control (CBTC). SIE is providing project management and construction inspection services for this design-build project, which involves deploying CBTC systems on two (2) NYCT subway lines – Court Square to Hoyt Schermerhorn on the G line and High Street to Hoyt Schermerhorn on the A/C lines. The CBTC Program will replace and modernize the current NYCT subway signaling system with state-of-the-art CBTC technology to improve safety, reliability, operating efficiency and provide for future capacity growth. The CBTC Program includes the installation of wayside CBTC equipment on the Crosstown Line and the Fulton Line, with options for segments, or all, of the 6^th Ave/63^rd St. Line.
