Pier and Ramp Rehabilitation, Site Improvements, and New Salt and General Storage Structures at Throgs Neck Bridge

As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided electrical and lighting engineering design and MPT / civil design services in support of pier and ramp rehabilitation, site improvements, and new salt and general storage structures at the Throgs Neck Bridge. SIE provided electrical and lighting design for the new salt storage structure, new secondary general salt storage structure, site improvements including roadway access, and utility relocation related to repair work on bridge piers and abutments. The work included a field visit to evaluate existing conditions and verify the existing power source, participation in project coordination meetings, and preparation of preliminary (30%), pre-final (90%), and final (100%) design package drawings and specifications, including support for bid sheets and estimates. SIE also provided construction support services, including review and response to Requests for Information (RFIs), review and approval of submittals, and review and response to shop drawings and design calculations. MPT / civil design services included preparation of preliminary (30%), pre-final (90%), and final (100%) design package drawings and specifications and participation in project coordination meetings.
