Muhammad Izhar, PE

Muhammad Izhar is Principal and co-founder of SI Engineering and has over thirty-five (35) years of diversified experience in design, planning, and construction management. As the firm’s principal, he oversees the firm’s operations and provides overall direction, while also managing growth. Muhammad also leads the construction management and inspection groups at SIE. His experience includes bridges, highways, roadways, tunnels, marine terminals, airports, buildings, water treatment plants, and pumping stations. Additionally, he has extensive experience managing all aspects of civil and transportation engineering, as well as infrastructure design. He is well versed in the standards and construction procedures followed by NYCDDC, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, MTA, NYCDOT and various other agencies in the tristate area and has developed a reputation as an efficient, effective, and highly responsive project manager. Previously, as Supervising Engineer of Hudson County, NJ, he managed all county projects and led the construction inspection team.

Mr. Izhar holds a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey.
