Sarwat Izhar, PE, MBA, ENV SP

Sarwat Izhar is the President and co-founder of SI Engineering. She has over thirty (30) years of experience in the field of transportation/traffic engineering, lighting design and construction management for design and construction of large and small infrastructure projects. As President, Sarwat formulates the firm’s policies and guides its growth and direction. Under her leadership, SIE has become one of the leading midsized firms in the New York Metropolitan area, providing services in engineering design, construction management/inspection, and program management. Under her leadership, SIE has completed multiple projects that have been recognized by our clients and earned awards from ACEC, CMAA, and ENR. In addition to leading the firm’s overall direction, she leads the firms bridge and highway lighting design practice.

Sarwat holds a Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of NY, NJ, PA, VA, MD, CT, and Washington D.C.
