As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided biennial bridge inspection services at the Henry Hudson Bridge facility. This project involved a 100% hand’s-on inspection of all structural components of the bridge. The scope included reviewing the field inspection findings and Biennial Reports from the Henry Hudson Bridge, Queens Midtown Tunnel Bridge Approaches, and Bridge structures at the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel Facilities. The review of this information was used to prepare the Narrative Reports which included repair recommendations, conceptual sketches, estimated construction costs of repairs, and a priority of recommended repairs which include High / Intermediate / Low. The list of recommendations was either identified as being in existing or future Capital Project i.e. HH-88B or if they needed to be a standalone repair with had its own associated cost identified.
