As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided project management services as an extension of Port Authority staff for their Ports Line Department. SIE’s Project Managers assist the Ports Department in managing projects from inception to completion.
SIE’s Project Managers developed project management plans covering conceptual development through construction completion, including budgets and baseline schedules for all project/program elements. They assisted in establishing teams, developing scope, and in implementing the plans.
Our Project Managers coordinated preparation of reports, cost estimates, and preliminary and final contract documents. They coordinated all elements of the contract document review process, including notifying all design development participants of the resolution of all comments. The Project Managers ensured the preliminary design and contract documents conform to the approved scope and budget. They coordinated bidding and award of construction contracts, ensured timely review of shop drawings, reviewed RFI’s, and prepared Post Award Contract Changes (PACC’s).
SIE’s Project Mangers led and provided project close-out support, including coordination of such activities including but not limited to testing, commissioning, acceptance and turnover of assets. Further, they prepared project completion documentation, including but not limited to certificates of completion and certificates of occupancy.
