This project involved the construction of storm sewers and appurtenances in Woehrle Avenue between Alexander Avenue and Waring Avenue; Alexander Avenue between Woehrle Avenue and Loring Avenue; Loring Avenue between Alexander Avenue and Forrestal Court; Forrestal Court between Loring Avenue and Dead End; and Leverett Avenue between Brookfield Avenue and Colon Avenue. Work involved the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenances in Forrestal Court between Loring Avenue and Dead End; Loring Avenue between Alexander Avenue and Forrestal Court, as well as the replacement of water mains and appurtenances in Leverett Avenue between Brookfield Avenue and Colon Avenue together with all work incidental thereto in the Borough of Staten Island, NY.
As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided office engineering and construction community liaison services. Duties included review of the plans and specifications for the construction contract(s). SIE staff organized and arranged for a walkthrough of the project, in addition to assessing the negative impact on the community. The project included extensive communication with the immediate affected community, utilities, and stakeholders through notifications of job progress and the resolution of issues as they arose.
