As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided resident engineering inspection services to upgrade the existing infrastructure for the installation of a new water main, new sanitary storm sewer, highway construction, which included curb and sidewalk restoration, and roadbed restoration at Twombly Avenue. The project required the upgrade of sanitary sewer services in the project area, in addition to upgrade and replacement of existing water main. The sanitary sewer, catch basins, and water main were installed in Twombly Avenue between Hopkins Avenue and Buffalo Avenue, Hopkins Avenue between Twombly Avenue and O’Gorman Avenue, and Cebra Avenue between Chester Place and Ward Avenue. The work under this contract included the replacement of 1,090 LF of distribution of water main, construction of 1,100 LF of sanitary sewer, and 12 catch basins. The project also included regular communication with the immediate affected community, utilities, and stakeholders through notifications of water shut offs, job progress, and the resolution of issues as they arose.
