As the Prime Consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided a structural and architectural assessment of and recommendations to repair and / or rehabilitate a NYCDEP satellite building in Manhattan.
SIE performed the assessment, which required providing floor plans with noted locations of observed conditions, including creating a crack / displacement monitoring program. Installation of the gauges was required for this monitoring program. The final report included an executive summary interpreting the data results to prepare a final architectural and structural assessment that summarized the next steps required, including the rehabilitation recommendations, alternative approaches with the pros and cons of each alternative, and list of all immediate repairs that were required to address any imminent danger to the building occupants. Work also included photographs and floor plans outlining all the findings.
