As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided construction administration and support services for this project, which involved Brooklyn Curtain Wall Bridge Preservation and Miscellaneous Repairs to VNB Service Building. The latter included roof repairs to the building, as well as miscellaneous repairs to the garage. The roof replacement involved the installation of a firestone asphalt roofing system which required the installation of a vapor barrier, insulation (ISO 95+ TM with taper), gypsum board, base ply- firestone SBS base, cap sheet – firestone MB, and adhesives. Work involved quality control including performing humidity test and moisture content test. Additionally, SIE inspected masonry work at the VN Service building. The work included removing cast stone coping and installing new through wall flashing above the existing masonry wall to repair the wall.
SIE was responsible for providing written weekly, biweekly, and monthly status reports regarding actual vs scheduled progress.
