As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided resident engineering inspection services during all phases, from pre-construction to close-out, for necessary improvements to the water main distribution systems at various locations throughout Brooklyn and Staten Island. Work included removal and replacement of the existing 100-year-old cast iron water mains; furnishing, delivering, and laying ductile iron pipes (DIP) and appurtenances; removal, resetting, and installation of hydrants; backfilling and compaction of trenches; and final restoration of pavement and concrete sidewalks.
