As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided construction support services for the rehabilitation of the Center Avenue and Lemoine Avenue Bridges. These bridges span over the George Washington Bridge approach roadways of Interstate 95 in Fort Lee, NJ. Both bridges are seven (7) span structures that carry vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Services on this contract consisted of design development and preparing final design and contract documents for rehabilitation of the Center Avenue and Lemoine Avenue bridges. These services included a preparation of a Design Criteria Summary, 100% hands-on field inspection and verification of conditions of all super-structure and sub-structure elements, and preparation of a Design Development Package, construction cost, and schedule estimates. Additional tasks included life-cycle cost analyses, Final Design and Contract Documents, and performance of post-award services.
As part of the post-award services, SIE was tasked with reviewing working drawings, catalog cuts, and samples for conformance with specifications and contract drawings. SIE was also responsible for reviewing and preparing responses to RFI’s, addressing Post Award Contract Changes (PACCs) by revising existing contract drawings and preparing additional contract documents as required, and performing site inspections as required.
