As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) assisted in the Asset Management Program for NYCDEP. Assets were inspected and recorded utilizing DEP’s standardized asset inspection and project development methodology, including guidance documents for the development and preparation of capital projects to analyze key issues. Methodology and guidance documents were used for the purpose of conducting future Asset Management Program inspections of DEP owned facilities.
SIE inspected, rated, and developed capital projects for all identified assets in DEP facilities, as required. The team developed scopes and cost estimates for individual capital projects and utilized software to develop projects that preserved and extended the service life of DEP assets. The team recommended improvements to the Asset Management Program, based on changes in the industry, and provided advice regarding the long-term management of the information gleaned from the Asset Management Program.
SIE also assisted in the implementation of proposed changes to the Asset Management Program, including, but not limited to, the development of Standard Operating Procedures, the training of DEP representatives, and the integration of DEP’s Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
