As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided resident engineering inspection services for this New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) project. The scope of the project was to provide REI services for the replacement of eight-inch (8”) water mains in 234th to 237th Street in Linden Boulevard to 128th Avenue. The project also involved installation of eight-inch (8”) water main in Laurelton Parkway SR South from 121st Avenue to 128th Avenue in Queens.
SIE provided all services necessary and required for the inspection, supervision, management, coordination and administration of the project, so the required construction work was properly executed, completed in a timely fashion and conforms to the requirements of the construction documents and to good construction practice. SIE provided pre-construction, construction, and post-construction services. SIE was responsible for reviewing contract plans and specifications for the project, reviewing DDC standard water main and highway specifications, DEP and DOT standard drawings as needed to familiarize staff with the standards to be utilized, and the construction inspection of the installation of water main and roadway restoration work.
