As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided transportation planning and traffic engineering services for this study, focused on mobility and access issues in the densely populated Hudson River waterfront communities of Bergen and Hudson Counties. SIE conducted an initial evaluation of the study area, which inventoried the condition of sidewalks, pedestrian accommodations, traffic conditions, street network and alternate routes, transit accessibility, and access points in/out of the study area for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
