SI Engineering was recently awarded a New Jersey Department of Transportation contract as the Prime Consultant for preventative maintenance of bridges along US Route 1, US Route 9, and NJ Routes 18, 27, 34, 35, 36, 37, 70, 71, and 72. Under this contract, SIE will provide construction inspection services. The scope of work on this project consists of repair of the bridge headers, joints, deteriorated concrete deck, curb, and sidewalk. Additional tasks include application of corrosion inhibitor, traffic line restriping, parapet repair, railing re-seal, (re)installation of flexible delineators, and painting on the bridge superstructure. On the bridge substructure, tasks include the repair of deteriorated concrete and application of an epoxy waterproofing.
