As the Prime Consultant, SI Engineering, P.C., (SIE) provided construction inspection services for traffic signal and lighting work throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The objective of this project was to restore traffic signals, lighting systems, and other roadside appurtenances to a non-deficient condition to ensure these remain serviceable and improve traffic flow. The scope of work involved installation of new traffic signals, rebuilding and upgrading existing signals, and installation of interconnect system. In addition, the work included maintenance repairs to the State lighting system.
SIE oversaw all work to ensure that the contractor conformed to contract provisions and all safety requirements. Our staff were responsible for performing detailed inspection, on-site testing of materials, and other activities as necessary, including field measurements, data collection, and preparation of record plans. All records were kept in accordance with MURK.
