As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) performed a condition survey of the Hoboken Ferry Terminal. This project involved a visual and hands-on inspection of the terminal in accordance with PA Quality Assurance Guidelines for Condition Survey of Waterfront Structures to determine the overall condition of structures and identify structural and non-structural deficiencies.
The inspection included measurements and documentation of all piles, pile extensions, steel, deck underside, concrete seawall and top of pier, rip rap dike, three timber core samples, and the fender system. Upon completion of the inspection, a Condition Survey Report was completed for the terminal. The report included an overall rating, tables that documented conditions, including locations and repair recommendations, condition of major structural components, increase or decrease in number of all repairs, and other pertinent information.
