As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) performed a condition survey of the World Trade Center Museum – River Water Pump Station. This project involved a visual and hands-on inspection of the station in accordance with PA Quality Assurance Guidelines for Condition Survey of Buildings to determine the overall condition of structures and identify structural and non-structural deficiencies.
The inspection included measurements and documentation of all structural framing, including the chambers, sumps, and basins of the pump station, which were considered confined spaces. The inspection and functionality of the electrical and lighting devices were limited to the condition of the conduits and wiring to the devices and structural supports of these elements. Upon completion of the inspection, a condition survey report was completed, including an overall rating, tables that documented conditions, including locations and repair recommendations, condition of major structural components, increase or decrease in number of all repairs, and other pertinent information.
