Condition Assessment for Station Component Repair and ADA Work – White Plains Road Line Bundle, Delancey Street / Essex Street Complex, and 59th Street / Lexington Avenue

As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided condition assessment and inspection services for station component repair work at the ADA White Plains Road Line Bundle, Delancey Street / Essex Street complex, and 59th Street / Lexington Avenue station complex projects. Each was covered by its own design-build contract for component repairs and / or accessibility upgrades. The work at each station involved a combination of line structure component repair work, Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) accessibility work (including the installation of new ADA-compliant elevators), station component repair work, and escalator replacement work. For each station, SIE performed inspections of the public areas, back of house areas, and from the track level during flagging operations. SIE performed an independent condition survey of each station, submitting the final deliverable of an updated Condition Survey Report, Room Inventory, and Deficiency List.
