As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) performed detailed inspection of the upper level track’s deteriorated structural members which need priority repairs using flagman and high-rail truck. These structural members included stringers, columns, cap beams, crash walls, column and stringer brackets, underside of deck and sidewalk concrete and any member which need emergency safety repairs.
SIE was also responsible for developing repair drawings, which included repair plans for deficient structural members and repair methods utilized to bring these structural members back to the required load carrying capacity.
