As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) conducted a detailed structural inspection and reporting for the inspection of the Moodna and Woodbury Viaducts on MNR’s Port Jervis Line. SIE performed the in-depth inspection using hi-rail UBIUs over full weekend track closures. The field inspection involved documenting all deficiencies, including those previously identified in the previous in-depth inspection and annual inspections. These also included the verification of any changes in existing flags and hands on inspection of all fracture critical elements, such as steel pier caps and bents.
SIE assisted with developing the inspection report and the design-build packages, including the summary of inspection findings such as location, type of deficiency, size, and other factors.
