This project consisted of a cyclical condition survey of the on-grade sign and lighting structures located at the New York and New Jersey approaches to the Holland Tunnel and the preparation and delivery of a Condition Survey Report. The survey included all of the facility’s on-grade sign structures with sign panels 10 SF or larger, high mast lighting structures, traffic signals and light poles.
As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) was responsible for preparing a condition survey report listing all recommended repairs for each structure. SIE staff developed recommendations for correcting all deficiencies found. The report included the overall rating, condition of major structural components, and increase or decrease in the number of priority and safety repairs. In addition, the report included photographs of all recommended priority repairs, safety repairs, other significant findings, and an appendix including all correspondence and a complete list of all Authority documents used during the inspection.
