LaGuardia Gateway Partners and the Port Authority of New York / New Jersey (PANYNJ) are in the process of redeveloping LaGuardia Airport which involved a complete upgrade all airport airside and landside infrastructure.
As the prime consultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) performed inspections of pile driving operations, support of excavation compliance, concrete and rebar inspection for all piles, pile caps, piers, pier caps, pedestals, structural decks. Inspection of steel girder erections, asphalt paving, pavement markings, and MUTCD signage. In addition, SIE was responsible for accurate tracking of the contractors proposed project scheduling, cost estimating, tracking of all contract work, including time and material, and net cost and unit price of performed work. SIE performed final inspections and distributing contract administration documents such as controlled inspection, special inspection, and daily reports, in addition to reviewing submittals and RFI’s to ensure all construction activities are performed in compliance with contract specifications and amendments.
