Traffic Design Services for the PATH Rehabilitation of the Journal Square Transportation Center Bus Lanes, Stage III

As a subconsultant, SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) provided traffic design services for this project. SIE was responsible for preparing contract drawings for Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), specifications, schedule, and estimating for the replacement of the wearing course and waterproofing membrane and related work at each bus lane from Column Line 17 to the Sip Avenue expansion joint (on-structure section).

As part of the Maintenance and Protection of Traffic CAD contract drawings, SIE identified MOT for all stages of construction showing the appropriate temporary traffic control devices for maintaining access for all vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and construction operations, which included temporary signs, pavement markings, barriers, impact attenuators, and ADA-compliant pedestrian access. SIE’s scope also involved preparing project specifications, associated cost estimates for the entire projects, including for all temporary and permanent roadway signs and supports and pavement markings and project schedule.
